Voice Clone learns the sound of a voice from a short recording and then reads any text you give it in that same voice — tone, timbre and character included.
A clean audio recording of at least 10 seconds with one person speaking. Built-in noise reduction helps with imperfect recordings, but less background noise means a better clone.
The MiniMax Voice Clone model runs at $1.50 per clone — the price is shown next to the model name before you create. Credits are deducted only when you generate.
The cloned voice can read text in English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Japanese or Korean, at a speed you choose from 0.5× to 2×.
MP3, WAV, M4A and other common audio formats up to 50 MB. The tool checks the duration on upload and will ask for a longer sample if it is under 10 seconds.
Noise reduction is on by default and cleans up moderate background noise. For the best clone, record in a quiet room with the mic close to the speaker.
10 seconds is the hard minimum — uploads shorter than that are blocked before you can generate. A little more helps: 20–30 seconds of natural, continuous speech at your normal pace gives the model more of your character to learn than the bare minimum read in a rush.
